In 1986, he was selected by the LA Lakers in the first round of the NBA draft. He rejected a guaranteed NBA contract and ventured out into an international career.
He spent 16 years playing professionally in Europe, winning Italian, Israeli and Greek championships.

Born in San Antonio, Ken is a public and private education product. 
He matriculated through schools in Japan, Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. This foundational education positioned him to have a firm grasp of the value of education inside and outside the classroom. A proud graduate from the University of Notre Dame, a former NBA first-round draft selection who has won twelve basketball titles in three countries on five European teams.


The former professional athlete has served as a leader servant-leader in the community, education, and church. The former University of Notre Dame's basketball "Student-Athlete of the Year" has served as president for the high school sports information co., Score Sports Network. He co-hosted the radio show hosted by ESPN, "College Hoops Tipoff". Ken has subsidized camps through the Indy Parks Department, volunteered his time mentoring in the "Starfish Initiative," and been a workshop facilitator and keynote speaker for the Center for Leadership Development, among other service activities. He is an ordained minister who currently serves as the Vice President for Community Relations and Diversity at his alma mater, Cathedral High School.
